The splendour of Austria and the flair of Italy

9 Days - 8 Nights

This trip takes you from the cultural city of Salzburg all the way to the mountain peaks in Italy's South Tyrol.

Visit Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace that boasts a Unesco World Heritage Site thanks to the wealth of Baroque buildings it boasts. The city bustles with culture and beer lovers can also visit one of the city's renowned breweries here. However, colourful Innsbruck is also on the programme in this experience trip. Situated on the river Inn, this city takes on a special character thanks to the Karwendel and Alpine mountains that surround it. In the old town, you stroll past numerous Baroque buildings that adorn the city. The bustling capital of the German state of Bavaria will introduce you to regional specialities such as Munich beer and Weißwurst. Enjoy walks in beautiful nature, its delightful charm and vibrant, modern life. This experience trip offers everything you need: nature, culture and delicious traditional dishes worth tasting!

Day 1: Departure to (Munich) - Salzburg

On the way to Salzburg, you may or may not stop in Munich. The bustling capital of German state Bavaria will introduce you to regional specialities such as Munich beer and Weißwurst. After a day in Munich, drive on to Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Here you will spend the night in the heart of the city.

Day 2: Salzburg

Salzburg's city centre graces the Unesco World Heritage List, thanks to the wealth of Baroque buildings it boasts. The city is pleasantly compact and can be perfectly explored in a few days. Yet there is a lot to experience here. The city buzzes with culture and beer lovers can also visit one of the city's renowned breweries here. Also, be sure to grab a cup of coffee and a piece of cake in one of its renowned coffee houses!

On this day, you have plenty of time to explore Salzburg one last time. After your day in Salzburg, drive on to Achensee where you unwind in the spa of a Caractère hotel.

Day 4 & 5: Achensee

After the busy city life, you will arrive here to an oasis of calm. Make the most of the lovely, green mountain meadows with e-bikes, mountain bikes or poles for Nordic walking offered free of charge by the hotel. The fortress of Kufstein is definitely worth a visit for culture lovers.

Day 6: Achensee - (Innsbruck) - Lech

Continue towards Lech. On the way, you may stop in Innsbruck. This colourful city on the river Inn takes on a special character thanks to the Karwendel and Alpine mountains that surround it. You can also go shopping in Maria Theresienstrasse, take a cable car ride, visit a museum or have a drink on a terrace. In the evening, drive on to Lech.

Day 7 & 8: Lech (& Liechtenstein)

This region enjoys a wonderful natural charm whilst still being vibrant and modern. Here, too, you can be active in nature to the max. If necessary, take the opportunity to take a day trip to the city-state of Liechtenstein where, for example, in capital Vaduz you can soak up local culture in one of the museums or visit Vaduz Castle.

Day 9: Lech - South Tyrol

Enjoy one last hike in the beautiful surroundings and then drive to South Tyrol in Italy where you will spend three nights in a Caractère hotel of your choice.
