Day 1: Arrival in Iceland - Hveragerdi
After arriving at Keflavik airport, you will pick up your rental car and continue to your hotel. If you arrive early, you can already get acquainted with Iceland by taking a hike. You can hike to a nearby hot spring where you can enjoy a wonderful bath.
Day 2: Hveragerdi - Skogafoss - Seljalandsfoss - Reynisfjara Beach - Vik
Follow the ring road and admire waterfalls, volcanoes and glaciers along the way. Make sure to stop along the way to admire the famous waterfalls Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. If you are lucky, you will also see the volcanoes Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull. Today you can choose from a variety of activities. Through the huge lava fields you will drive to Vatnajokull National Park, named after the largest glacier in Europe. The Skaftafell area in the park is a green oasis surrounded by glaciers. Follow a hiking trail to Svartifoss, the black waterfalls. For a memorable experience, take an amphibious boat ride among the floating waterfalls. Or opt for a puffin safari to view the adorable animals in their natural habitat. Continue to the nearby black-sand Diamond Beach before ending the day in the village of Hofn.
Day 4: Hofn - Vik - Hvolsvollur
Enjoy the magnificent views as you drive back along the ring road. You will have the opportunity to kayak at a glacier along the way or hike through a canyon with beautiful views. Afterwards, take the zipline back down.
Day 5: Hvolsvollur - Golden Circle - Reykjavik
Today you will explore the wonders of the Golden Circle, such as the Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir hot spring area. You can participate in Gullfoss Canyon Rafting, paddling through a beautiful gorge. You will continue to Thingvellir National Park, the site of Iceland's ancient Viking parliament. Here you can snorkel in the Silfra Gorge that floats between two continents. You will then head to the capital city of Reykjavik.
Day 6: Going home
If you still have time left, you can visit the Blue Lagoon on this day. Afterwards, you will drive towards the airport for your return flight.
