In addition, the hotel has a green environmental policy to become even more sustainable; among other things, they heat the hotel with green energy and work with local suppliers.
In almost every room you will discover murals created by local artists. These drawings are unique and each depicts an aspect of Icelandic culture and history. From each room you enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding nature.
The Master Suites are carefully designed to take you to another continent for a night. With art from around the world and handmade furniture, each room is truly unique. In the Antartica Suite you are surrounded by striking black and white hues, and in the African Master Suite there is a ceiling of straw made from locally grown wheat.
Enjoy the surrounding nature while relaxing in one of the outdoor geothermal hot tubs overlooking the volcano.
A map at the front desk shows you the way to the incredible waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers and thermal springs near the Hotel Rangá. The hotel is also perfectly located for the Golden Circle and glacier expeditions. A dizzying array of activities lies at your feet: from snowmobiling to super jeep safaris, dog sledding, horseback riding, caving and fishing. 150 meters from the hotel is an observatory. At the push of a button, the roof rolls out of sight to reveal the beautiful night sky. High walls protect you from cold winds, but snowsuits are also available to keep you warm while stargazing.
Children of all ages are welcome here. A game room is set up with pool table and puzzles for cosy evenings.

The Rangá Bar is perfect for anyone who could use a refreshing drink after a long day of exploring. The bar itself is made of rustic wooden logs. You can choose from an extensive whiskey collection, cocktails, wines and craft beers. You can also go there for a quick bite like burgers, sandwiches, salads, soup ... Happy hour every day between 3 pm and 6 pm!
