City trip Valencia with kids

Who says a city trip with children can't be fun? We prove it's the opposite in Valencia! This vibrant Spanish city is the ideal destination for the whole family. Discover the city in a playful way, make delicious paella together and visit many beautiful parks. A citytrip to Valencia with children is an adventure full of sun, sea and smiling faces!

Day 1: city walk and bike ride to the beach

Your day starts with discovering the city on a child's level. With young children you can choose the children's walking route ‘follow Juan the mouse’ or with older children you can experience a street art tour. In the afternoon you'll cycle through Turia Park to the sea. The Turia was once a river that ran right through the city, but is now drained. The river bed was given a green purpose and is now a park with plenty of places to picnic and play. Spend the afternoon on the large beach with palm trees.

Day 2: Picnic and animal park

Today you will discover Spanish cuisine. Mercado Central is a covered market full of fruits, vegetables and local specialties. Put together your picnic and take it to Turia Park where you can enjoy a nice lunch while the children play. After lunch you will also pass Parc Gulliver, a place with numerous slides. In the afternoon you will visit Bioparc Valencia, one of the most beautiful animal parks in Europe. Another option is L’Oceanografic, the largest aquarium in Europe with an incredible variety of sea animals from all over the world.

Day 3: Cooking workshop and nature park

In the morning you attend a cooking workshop. You will make, of course, a paella with your children! After that you'll have a taste of the homemade paella. In the afternoon you'll take a boat trip through the Albufera Natural Park. In a traditional fishing boat you will explore the largest freshwater lake in Spain and enjoy the panoramic view of the extensive rice fields and the unique flora and fauna around you.
