During your tour of captivating Malaysia, you will be overwhelmed by the always friendly people, traditional villages and breathtaking nature. Day 1: Arrival in Kuala Lumpur
Upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur airport, you will be welcomed by your private driver who will transfer you to your hotel in the center of the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur. You will stay at a hotel of your choice in downtown Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2: Kuala Lumpur
Today your guide will take you through the colonial history of the city. He will show you the main sights of Kuala Lumpur such as the Petronas Twin Towers, Handicraft center, King's Palace and Sultan Abdul Samad, among others. After the tour, you can choose to continue exploring the city on your own and then return to the hotel.
Day 3: Kuala Lumpur
Today you will explore the suburbs along "Ambassador Row". Your first stop is a visit to the largest and most modern tin factory in the world. Next you will stop at the Batik Factory, where you can see how batik is designed and printed. The last stop is at the limestone hills of Batu Caves, which includes three caves and several smaller caves. A staircase with 272 steps leads you to the temple cave. Another cave, the museum cave, is filled with images of gods and murals showing scenes from Hindu scriptures. In the afternoon you are free to relax and enjoy in the hotel's spa or go shopping in town.
Day 4: Kuala Lumpur - Malacca
Today you will go on Malacca Tour. You start with a visit to St. Peter's Church, followed by a drive past the Chinese cemetery on Bukit Cina and a stop at the Sultan's Well. Explore Port De Santiago and the ruins of St. Paul's Church, surrounded by Dutch tombstones. Then visit Red Square and Christchurch, followed by the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, where Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism converge. End the tour with a walk along Jonker Street to the Malacca River. You will stay at a charming hotel in Malacca.
Day 5: Malacca - Cameron Highlands
After breakfast, you will depart for a mountain resort in Cameron Highlands. Once you arrive, enjoy the refreshing cool air and a possible hike.
Day 6: Cameron Highlands
You start the day with a nice breakfast and then depart on a day trip. Get in a 4x4 and drive up through the picturesque tea gardens to 2,032 meters above sea level, to the Gunung Brinchang. Listen to the guide's tea stories and enjoy the breathtaking views of Malaysia's tea plantations. A nature guide hike through the Mossy Forest will show you exotic plants. A short drive downhill will take you to the tea plantation, where you will taste different types of tea. After lunch, continue to the butterfly and insect farm, fruit, vegetable and flower market, Time Tunnel, Sam Poh Buddhist Temple and Strawberry Farm.
Day 6: Cameron Highlands
Today you choose what your day looks like. For the more active, there is an opportunity to do a guided jungle hike with different levels of difficulty, from steep climbs to challenging stairs. Various activities are also available through your hotel such as learning to make a mojito, going on a picnic, learning to make strawberry jam or relaxing by the pool and in the sauna.
Day 7: Cameron Highlands - Penang
Enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel. At noon, check out and start the drive down winding roads to Tapah, then continue your journey to Penang. Once you arrive at the hotel, take another stroll along the famous street art in Penana. Hundreds of murals fill the small old town, which is now one big art trail. You will stay overnight at a hotel of your choice in Penang.
Day 8: Penang
Today you will explore Georgetown. Visit the Wat Chayamangkalaram and the Dharmikarama Burmese Temple, where you admire the famous golden reclining Buddha statue and detailed architecture. Then head to the heritage area with colonial buildings and Fort Cornwallis for some photo stops. After visiting the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower, stroll past the Clan Jetty, a residential neighborhood on stilts. Finish with a drive down the Street of Harmony, where temples and churches of four major religions stand side by side.
Day 9: Penang
Today you'll head to Penang's highest peak, the unmistakable Penang Hill, home to the oldest British hill station in the region. During the train ride, enjoy the panoramic views of Georgetown and the mainland where you can spot the two Penang bridges. Then visit the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia, the Kek Lok Si Temple. Admire the impressive view of the huge bronze Statue of the Goddess of Mercy, which overlooks the entire temple and its surroundings, and then walk to the seven-story pagoda with more than 10,000 Buddha statues.
Day 10: Penang - Langkawi
After your breakfast, depart for Penang airport for the flight to Langkawi. Once you arrive at your hotel, you can relax by the pool, take a walk on the beach or take an adventurous jet ski trip among the dolphins.
Day 11: Langkawi
Today you will tour the legendary Langkawi. Explore the urban and rural side of this special island, starting with a visit to a batik studio where you will see the traditional painting process. Then head to Makam Mahsuri, the resting place of the legendary Mahsuri, surrounded by traditional Malay houses. Take the cable car to the second highest mountain for panoramic views of Langkawi. Finish at the Rice Garden, a unique place where you will enjoy vast rice fields and learn more about local rice varieties and traditions.
Day 12: Langkawi
Board the Explorer Boat for a trip along the river coast to explore the mangrove forest. Explore the impressive landscape as you cruise along main and tributaries and admire the flora and fauna up close. Spot eagles and kites overhead and enjoy a swimming stop at the beach. The tour ends with lunch at a floating restaurant.
Day 13: Langkawi
Today you enjoy a day in and around the hotel.
Day 14: Return home
After breakfast, depart for the airport for your return flight.
