On this 11-day cruise, you'll discover Scandinavia from a different perspective. You start in Fredrikstad, a fortified town on the Glomma River, and sail via Aalborg, Helsingborg, Karlskrona and Kalmar toward Stockholm. Along the way you visit lesser-known coastal towns and historic cities. You'll explore medieval Visby on Gotland, taste smoked herring in Gudhjem, Denmark, and end in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. A journey full of history, local traditions and varied landscapes.

Day 1-2: Fredrikstad

Your cruise begins in Fredrikstad, a charming fortified town on the banks of Glomma. Stroll through the narrow streets, admiring the centuries-old wooden houses, cozy boutiques and lively cafes. Or opt for a walk along the fjords and green islands in the area. Embark between 4 and 5 p.m., departure is scheduled at 6 p.m. the following day.

Day 2: Aalborg

Today you will discover Aalborg, a lively city in northern Denmark. Climb the Aalborg Tower and enjoy panoramic views of the city, or admire local art at the Utzon Center. Feel like shopping? You'll find stylish boutiques in Jomfru Ane Gade. End your day in one of the cozy local restaurants and sample one of Denmark's traditional dishes, such as Platte.

Day 3: Helsingborg

Today you start the day in Helsingborg, a charming city on the east coast of the Öresund. Stroll through the old city center at your own pace or opt for a guided tour to discover even more hidden gems. Admire Kronborg Castle, which towers high above the city, an impressive symbol of the royal past.

Day 4: Karlskrona

The next stop on the cruise is Karlskrona, a gem on Sweden's south coast. Stroll through the charming streets, past colorful wooden houses and the ever-present water. Discover the impressive fortifications and historic shipyard, once the strategic heart of the Swedish Navy. Visit the Grand Place or be surprised by the rich maritime heritage at the Naval Museum. For those looking for an active experience, opt for a kayaking trip and visit the various islets that make Karlskrona unique.

Day 5: Kalmar

On Day 5, your ship docks in Kalmar, a city with a rich Hanseatic past. The medieval castle, where the Union of Kalmar was signed in 1397, towers proudly above the water. Walk with your guide through the historic center with its baroque buildings and colorful wooden houses in the charming Gamla Stan district. Off the coast lies Öland, a green island with vast beaches and a popular summer destination in Sweden.

Day 6: Day at sea

Today you will enjoy a day at sea. Relax in the spa or find a spot of sunbathing or attend a ballet performance by ballet de L'Opéra de Paris. Feel like getting some exercise? Then work out at the fitness center or swim laps in the pool. Take a short walk on the upper deck and look out over the endless horizon. With any luck, you'll spot dolphins or other sea creatures.

Day 7-8: Stockholm

Today you arrive in the capital of Sweden: Stockholm. You start the day with a walk through Gamla Stan, Stockholm's oldest district. You'll explore the narrow streets, pass the Royal Palace and stop at a café for a traditional fika. Then you'll head to Djurgården, a green island in the city. Here you visit the Vasa Museum, where you admire the impressive 17th-century warship Vasa. Then visit Skansen, the open-air museum that gives you an insight into traditional Swedish life. Want to see the city from above? Then hop on the SkyView and view Stockholm from the top of the Ericsson Globe.

Day 9: Visby

You explore Visby, an ancient Hanseatic city on the Swedish island of Gotland. You walk along the impressive city walls and discover the charming historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you'll admire St. Mary's Cathedral with its striking octagonal towers. Along the way, take a break at a café with rose vines and sample the local specialty, saffron pancakes.

Day 10: Gudhjem, Denmark

On your penultimate day, discover Gudhjem, one of Denmark's most beloved villages. You stroll through atmospheric streets with half-timbered houses and red roofs, while inhaling the smell of smoked herring. A tradition that began here in the 19th century. Surrounded by rugged cliffs, dense forests and white sandy beaches, this is a place where time seems to stand still for a moment.

Day 11: Copenhagen, Denmark

On your last day, you arrive in Copenhagen, the bustling capital of Denmark. You'll explore the colorful harbor of Nyhavn, stroll along the canals and discover the historic districts around Christiansborg. Visit one of the many palaces or taste a classic smørrebrød with ham, cheese or smoked fish. A culinary end to an unforgettable trip.
