Day 1: Papeete

Your cruise begins in Papeete, the vibrant capital of French Polynesia. Despite its role as an urban center, there is a relaxed atmosphere typical of the islands. Explore the colonial past at the Cathédrale de l'Immaculée-Conception and the charming Maison de la Reine Marau. Stroll past the colorful market full of tropical fruits, fragrant spices and fresh fish, where the smells and sounds immediately immerse you in local life. Need to escape the crowds? The Vaipahi Botanical Gardens are located just outside the city and are a green oasis among waterfalls and exotic plants. Between 3 and 5 p.m. embark and the adventure begins.

Day 2-3: Fakarava

After your first night aboard the Paul Gauguin, the day begins in Fakarava, a coral atoll recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This remote spot surprises with pearly white beaches, turquoise waters and unspoiled nature full of rare birds, colorful fish and unique plant species. Snorkel among vibrant coral reefs or just enjoy the silence that prevails here. For those who want some action, there are several excursions available: explore the island on an e-bike, hop on a quad bike or join a guided snorkeling tour.

Day 4: Rangiroa

Today you dock at Rangiroa, one of the largest atoll rings in the world and a hidden gem in the Tuamotu Archipelago. The lagoon sparkles in shades of blue found only here. Snorkel among schools of tropical fish, elegant rays and curious dolphins. Or opt for a sailing trip along the coast, where the wind and the view will carry you along. Those who prefer to stay ashore can visit a local pearl farm and discover how the world-famous Polynesian pearls come to life.

Day 5: Huahine

On day five you'll arrive at Huahine, one of French Polynesia's best-kept secrets. This verdant island consists of two parts - Grande and Petite Huahine - connected by a bridge and together form a captivating mosaic of nature and culture. Explore hidden temples among the greenery, discover ancient archaeological sites and stroll through the authentic village of Fare, where the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Choose from a variety of excursions: a boat trip along the coast, a safari through the interior or an introduction to the traditional way of life of the islanders.

Day 6-7: Bora Bora

You discover Bora Bora, a paradise atoll of the Leeward Islands. You'll feel the soft white sand between your toes and see the lagoon sparkle in all shades of turquoise. Snorkel in the warm, clear water and swim among colorful fish. Stroll through the lush tropical landscape and look up at the imposing Otemanu volcano towering high above you. You can choose from numerous excursions here, from an underwater scooter ride to an off-road adventure.

Day 8: Raiatea

Today you'll explore Raiatea, a volcanic island between Huahine and Bora Bora. Look up at the rugged cliffs, a nod to the oldest traces of the local people. Visit the spiritual heart of Polynesian culture: Taputapuatea, a sacred site where you'll admire the imposing stone and coral altar. Beaches are scarce here, but the island surprises with lush valleys, waterfalls and a mystical rainforest.

Day 9: Motu Mahana

Today you will visit Motu Mahana, a small private island in the lagoon of Taha'a. Feel the warm sand under your feet as you enjoy a traditional Polynesian barbecue surrounded by clear blue turquoise waters. Stay in the relaxed mood with a beach day or opt for an active excursion such as snorkeling among tropical fish.

Day 10: Moorea

On your penultimate day, visit the island of Mo'orea, located west of Tahiti. Relax on the pearly white beaches, take a refreshing dip in the turquoise lagoon and enjoy nature and fragrant flowers. Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Rotui from Mo'orea's Belvedere, where Mount Rotui rises between the deep inlets of Opunohu Bay and Cook's Bay. Fancy exploring the island further? Go dolphin spotting, tour the lagoon or opt for an adventurous outing on the open sea.

Day 11: Papeete

After disembarking at 8 a.m., you still have time to explore Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia. Stroll the streets where market vendors shout, flower wreaths smell and scooters buzz by. Visit the colonial cathedral, stroll through Vaipahi gardens or dive into the colorful market for fresh fruits, exotic spices and steaming dishes. A lively place to round out your trip.
