Boutique cruise to the Canary Islands, Morocco and the Iberian Peninsula

13 Days - 12 Nights

This 13-day boutique cruise leads you from the volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands to the colourful medinas of Morocco and the charming coastal towns of the Iberian Peninsula. You start with an extra night on Gran Canaria, giving you a relaxed beginning before boarding.

Over ten nights at sea, peaceful days alternate with lively ports: palm-lined boulevards, laurel forests, sun-drenched Moroccan squares, dramatic cliffs and southern plazas that create a new backdrop each day. Every stop feels different, while the gentle pace on board ties the journey together. Your trip ends with one final night in Málaga, where art, the sea and Andalusian heritage come together once more before you fly home.

Important information:

  • An international passport is required, valid for at least 6 months after your return and containing at least 2 blank pages.
  • No specific vaccinations are required. We recommend seeking advice from your doctor or consulting the Tropical Institute.

Day 1: Arrival in Gran Canaria

You land in Las Palmas, where you immediately feel why this is the ideal starting point for an ocean journey. In Vegueta, the historic district, façades glow warmly in the afternoon light and the relaxed island atmosphere sets in right away. You spend the night in one of our carefully selected stays. A stroll along Las Canteras or a glass of local wine on a sunny terrace completes your first day.

Day 2: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria — embarkation

You still have time to explore Las Palmas. Around midday you head towards the port. Boarding takes place between 4 pm and 5 pm, and at 7 pm the ship leaves Gran Canaria behind. From the deck, you watch the ocean turn golden as the cruise gently begins.

Day 3: Las Palmas → San Sebastián de La Gomera

You enjoy a quiet morning in Las Palmas. Vegueta, the Santa Ana Cathedral and the Casa de Colón give you a first glimpse of the island’s history. Later in the day, the ship sails towards La Gomera, an island marked by its dramatic cliffs and lush valleys.

Day 4: San Sebastián de La Gomera

La Gomera welcomes you with deep palm-filled valleys and a rare laurel forest: Garajonay National Park. A soft mist often lingers between the trees, creating an almost mystical atmosphere. The whistled language Silbo, listed by UNESCO, still echoes through the valleys.

Day 5: Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The capital of Tenerife brings together lively squares, marble monuments and charming churches. Around Plaza de España you immediately feel the warm Canarian atmosphere. You wander through picturesque streets on your way to Iglesia de la Concepción.

Day 6: Arrecife de Lanzarote

Lanzarote impresses with volcanic landscapes that feel almost otherworldly. In Arrecife, the photogenic lagoon of Charco de San Ginés is dotted with fishing boats. Castillo de San Gabriel, a former fort, stands as a reminder of the island’s maritime past.

Day 7: Day at sea

Today is all about slowing down. The ship glides over open water while you enjoy the view, a good book or a relaxing moment in the spa. Marine-life lovers keep an eye on the horizon from the upper deck.

Day 8: Casablanca

Casablanca feels modern and cosmopolitan, but the Hassan II Mosque instantly reconnects you with tradition. In the old medina, you stroll through narrow alleyways and small shops. Along the Corniche, you walk out onto the Atlantic coastline.

Day 9: Tangier

Tangier enchants with its blend of cultures. Through the Kasbah, you reach the former sultan’s palace and its quiet courtyards. The medina buzzes with cafés, workshops and spicy scents. The beaches lie just a short distance away.

Day 10: Gibraltar

The famous Rock of Gibraltar towers over the landscape. From the top, the view stretches across the strait toward Africa. In the city centre, British influences immediately stand out: pubs, red telephone boxes and a distinct atmosphere.

Day 11: Marbella

Marbella leads you through whitewashed lanes, orange trees and lively squares. In the old town you discover the Moorish castle and historic churches. From here you can also visit Ronda, dramatically perched above a deep gorge.

Day 12: Málaga — disembarkation + extra night

You disembark at 8 am and step into a warm, welcoming city. Málaga blends art, sea and history in a gentle rhythm. The Alcazaba and Gibralfaro overlook the old town, while the harbour and promenade invite you to unwind. You stay one more night in the city.

Day 13: Departure from Málaga

One last breakfast, one last walk or one last museum visit, Málaga waves you off softly. You travel home with vivid memories and landscapes that changed at every stop.
