Day 1: departure for Sweden
Today you will arrive in Sweden by plane or car. After checking in at Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve you will explore the grounds and enjoy a nice dinner in the hotel's restaurant afterwards.
Day 2: safari and nature walk
After breakfast, explore the Eriksberg Nature Reserve via a guided safari. You will discover animals such as moose, deer, wild boar and bison. In the afternoon you will take a beautiful nature walk along one of the many nature trails in the area.
Day 3: Karlshamn and Kristianstad
Today you will visit the charming coastal town of Karlshamn, where you will explore the harbor and walk through the historic center. You will then continue on to Kristianstad. Here you will discover the Vattenrike nature reserve, a UNESCO biosphere reserve. There are bird-watching towers, exhibitions and you can take beautiful walks. In the visitor centers there is a lot of info about the animal and plant world in the immediate area.
Day 4: Malmö and Lund
After breakfast you leave by car for Malmö, one of the top ten cycling cities in the world. You will rent a bike there that will allow you to follow special cycling routes. Visit the Turning Torso, stroll through the cozy Lilla Torg and discover Malmöhus Castle. From the water, by bike, kayak, pedal boat or SUP, you can also explore Malmö. In the afternoon, satisfy your hunger at the street food market. Then you continue to the lively university town of Lund. Here you explore the cathedral and the botanical garden, among other things. Finish the day in a local restaurant.
Day 5: Free day
Today you fill your day as you wish. Active people can go kayaking or canoeing in the surrounding waters. If you prefer to spend your day in a quieter way, you can also go fishing here. Blekinge is a cyclist's paradise, with a varied landscape, well-marked routes and beautiful views. By bike you can explore the coast, forests and mountains. Bird lovers can participate in a guided bird watching excursion.
Day 6: Karlskrona
After breakfast, drive to Karlskrona, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its maritime history. Visit the Marine Museum and stroll through the picturesque city center. From Karlskrona you can explore the Blekinge archipelago. Several ferries sail to the islands, where you can enjoy unspoiled nature and atmospheric fishing villages.
Day 7: Växjö and Älmhult
Today you head to Europe's greenest city, Växjö. Start the day with a walk along Växjö's atmospheric lakes and parks. Visit one of the 23 nature reserves in the area, such as Bokhultet or Teleborg, both of which are within biking or walking distance from the center. Prefer to venture into history? Then visit the castle ruins of Kronoberg, where you can feel Småland's past while looking out over Lake Helgasjön. At the Småland Museum, learn more about the region and its crafts or visit the adjacent Swedish Glass Museum, where you will discover the tradition of Swedish glassware. Modern art lovers can visit Växjö's art halls for contemporary exhibitions. On the way back, you may want to visit the IKEA Museum in Älmhult.
Day 8: Back home
After a great trip, you return home with great memories.
