Island hopping in the Thai islands

10 Days - 9 Nights

This journey takes you to the tropical islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, where white-sand beaches and swaying palm trees create a picture-perfect paradise. Dive or snorkel among colourful coral reefs, explore hidden coves and meet the welcoming local communities. Feel the lively energy of Hat Rin Beach and Chaweng, or unwind amid lush jungle and quiet shores. And the best part? While the Andaman coast sees its rainy season, these islands remain sunny and inviting, the perfect tropical escape during the European summer.

  • An international passport is required, valid for at least 6 months after your return, with a minimum of 2 blank pages.
  • From 1 May 2025, all foreign travellers, including Belgians, are required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arriving in Thailand. The TDAC must be submitted within 3 days prior to arrival.
  • No vaccinations are mandatory, but some are recommended. For travel to Thailand, we advise vaccination against Hepatitis A, DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, polio) and typhoid. The risk of malaria is low, but insect repellent is recommended outside major cities from dusk to dawn. We also advise consulting your doctor or the Institute of Tropical Medicine for personalised advice.

Day 1: Arrival in Koh Tao

Upon arrival at Samui Airport, you’ll be greeted by our local guide and taken to the pier for the boat transfer to Koh Tao. As the boat glides across turquoise waters and green hills appear on the horizon, the journey sets the tone for the days ahead. At Koh Tao Pier, a hotel representative will meet you and escort you to your accommodation. Small yet enchanting, Koh Tao – literally “Turtle Island” – is renowned as one of Thailand’s best diving and snorkelling destinations. With its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and colourful coral reefs, it offers an idyllic tropical setting. Once a backpackers’ haven, the island now also welcomes travellers seeking comfort and tranquillity in elegant boutique hotels and luxury resorts. The rest of the day is free to relax by the pool or take a leisurely sunset stroll along the beach.

Day 2–3: Enjoying Koh Tao

After breakfast, enjoy two full days dedicated to what Koh Tao does best: sunshine, sea and relaxation. Snorkel or dive among vibrant coral gardens, explore secluded bays such as Ao Leuk and Hin Wong Bay, or simply soak up the easygoing atmosphere at Sairee Beach, where the day flows seamlessly into an evening of music and freshly grilled seafood. For those seeking peace and quiet, Rocky Bay is the perfect place to unwind.

Day 4: Arrival in Koh Phangan

After breakfast, head to the pier for your boat transfer to Koh Phangan. Upon arrival, a hotel representative will take you to your accommodation. The fifth-largest island in Thailand, Koh Phangan is famous for its legendary Full Moon Parties, yet beyond the festivities lies a tranquil paradise. The island’s north is a haven of greenery and calm, with rolling hills, pristine beaches and unspoiled tropical landscapes. Along the coast, you’ll find over twenty diving and snorkelling spots, while the villages of Thongsala and Haad Rin offer lively markets, local eateries and cosy bars.

Day 5–6: Discovering Koh Phangan

Spend the next two days exploring the best of Koh Phangan. Lounge on its white beaches, snorkel over coral reefs teeming with life or hike into the jungle for breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand. Active travellers can venture out on a mountain bike, while those seeking tranquillity will find yoga studios, meditation centres and wellness retreats where time seems to slow down.

Day 7: From Koh Phangan to Koh Samui

After breakfast, transfer to the pier for your catamaran or ferry crossing to Koh Samui. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and drive you to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore — from the lively Chaweng Beach and the laid-back charm of Lamai, to the atmospheric Fisherman’s Village in Bophut and the peaceful sands of Maenam.

Day 8: The Secrets of Koh Samui

After breakfast, set off for a day filled with culture, nature and local flavours. Begin at the colourful Wat Plai Laem Temple, home to a large white statue of the Laughing Buddha and the serene Goddess Guanyin, both overlooking a fish-filled lake. The murals and daily rituals offer a glimpse into the island’s spiritual life. Continue by 4x4 into the island’s lush interior to visit the Secret Buddha Garden, a tranquil sanctuary of Buddha statues and shrines hidden among the trees. Created in the 1970s by local fruit farmer Nim Thongsuk, this garden blends art, nature and serenity. Next, visit the Coconut Museum to learn why Samui is called the “Coconut Island” and discover how coconut oil is produced and used in daily life. Finally, enjoy a home-cooked Samui lunch made from fresh organic ingredients, followed by a relaxing traditional Thai foot massage before returning to your hotel completely refreshed.

Day 9: Relaxing on Koh Samui

Your final day in paradise is yours to enjoy: relax on the beach, swim in the sea or indulge in a soothing spa treatment.

Day 10: Return home

After breakfast, transfer to Samui Airport for your return flight, carrying unforgettable memories and the warmth of island life.
