Perfect for travellers seeking unspoilt nature, fresh air and small-scale experiences, far from crowds and busy schedules.

Day 1: Departure for Finnish Lapland

Your journey begins in northern Finnish Lapland. You will be staying at a hotel nestled in the heart of the forest.

Day 2: Sámi Museum and Nature Centre

Today you will discover the rich and varied history of the Sámi people and their role in modern-day Lapland. You’ll also learn a great deal about nature and history through the ages. You can easily spend a few hours here. In the museum shop, you’ll find beautiful handmade products to take home as souvenirs.

Day 3: Husky Hike and Midnight Sun Hike

Dog lovers will be in their element during a walk with huskies. You’ll visit the husky farm and meet around 80 huskies that live there. Afterwards, you’ll learn how to get the dogs ready for a walk. With a husky pulling you along, the walk goes really smoothly. Weather permitting, the huskies get to swim in the lake for a bit before returning to the husky farm.

Have you ever been for a walk at night whilst the sun is still shining? Experience the midnight sun during your stay in Lapland. You’ll take a relaxing walk past the guide’s favourite spots whilst a reddish-yellow glow hangs in the sky. Enjoy the stunning views and a drink and a snack by the cosy campfire.

Day 4: Lemmenjoki National Park Day

It’s about an hour’s drive from the hotel to the Lemmenjoki region. You’ll explore this magnificent region on a boat trip through the river valley and a walk through the countryside. Enjoy a delicious lunch by the fire whilst learning more about reindeer and Sami culture. During this day trip, you’ll meet the reindeer and hear the traditional form of singing known as ‘yoiking’.

Day 5: E-Fatbike Tour

Sports enthusiasts will join the guided tour on an e-fatbike today. After a brief introduction on how to use these electric fatbikes, you’ll head to the Inari and Jäniskoski region to explore it by bike. The ideal way to discover the area! Those who prefer to explore the region independently can hire bikes on site.

Day 6: Husky on Wheels

Who can ever get enough of the energetic huskies? Today you’ll head back to the husky farm. This time it’s an adrenaline-filled trip, as you’re pulled along on a cart behind the huskies. As there’s no snow, the huskies can run much faster. Fun guaranteed!

Day 7: Departure home

Time to leave the beautiful scenery behind and head back home.

Frequently asked questions about this summer holiday in Finnish Lapland
What is the best time to visit Finnish Lapland in the summer?

The period from June to August is ideal, as you can experience the phenomenon of the midnight sun, where the sun doesn’t set for weeks on end. This ensures pleasant temperatures and endless time to explore the national parks and forests.

Are there many mosquitoes during a summer trip to Lapland?

Mosquitoes can be present in the wooded areas, particularly in July, but this is easily managed with good insect repellent and light, covering clothing. The fresh, clean air and the unique experience of the Arctic summer make this minor inconvenience more than worth it.

Is the physical demand for a husky hike or fatbike tour very strenuous?

The activities are accessible to anyone with a normal level of fitness, as the guides always adapt the pace to the group. On the husky hike, the dog also helps you up the hills, and the e-fatbikes provide electric assistance on difficult terrain.
