Day 1: Departure to Tivat or Dubrovnik - Montenegrin coast
Your trip starts in Montenegro or Croatia, depending on where your plane lands. Either way, the journey promises to be a unique one. After picking up your rental car, you can head towards the Montenegrin Riviera. You will spend six nights in one of our Caractère hotels. We will be happy to help you choose your hotel.
Day 2: Budva, the oldest city on the Montenegrin coast
Your adventure kicks off in Budva, one of the oldest towns on the Adriatic coast, with sprawling beaches and vibrant nightlife. Walled Budva was built on a headland by the Venetians in the 15th century.
Day 3: The Luštica peninsula
Get a taste of the beauty of the Bay of Kotor, the pristine hills of Luštica close off this bay to the south and overlook fortified harbours like Rose and ancient salt pans where pink flamingos, among others, shelter in the Solila bird sanctuary. Return via Tivat and end your day with a leisurely stroll around the prestigious marina. Don't forget to take a souvenir from one of the luxurious boutiques.
Day 4: Lake Skadar and Bar
Passing through Cetinje and Rijeka Crnojevića, you will arrive at Lake Skadar, the largest bird sanctuary in Europe. This is the pelican's last habitat on the old continent.
Day 5: Cetinje and Lovćen National Park
Cetinje is Montenegro's cultural and historical capital, a small and cosy mountain town with numerous museums and King Nicola's palace. Lovćen National Park also possesses one of Montenegro's most important monuments, the mausoleum of Njegoš.
Day 6: Sveti Stefan and the Bay of Kotor
A little detour past the exclusive hotel island of Sveti Stefan is well worthwhile. Then continue your journey towards The Bay of Kotor. It is the southernmost fjord in Europe and one of the 10 most beautiful bays in the world. Kotor exudes a special softness with its Venetian campaniles. A visit to Perast and its 2 small islands are the highlight of this trip.
Day 7: Going home
