Profile
For travellers who value nature and open space, with the occasional cultural touch. Ideal for those who enjoy being active outdoors and slowing down afterwards.
Day 1: Arrival and initial exploration
After arriving at the Weissenhaus Private Nature Luxury Resort, it is wonderful to explore the surroundings. Stroll through the gardens, follow the paths along the coastline and enjoy the serene atmosphere and pure sea air. In the evening, enjoy a culinary experience at Courtier restaurant, awarded a Michelin star. Don't forget to inquire about the hotel director's tour. Once a week he takes guests for a walk around the property, telling interesting stories and amusing anecdotes.
Day 2: Lübeck
Today you will discover the "Hanseatic City" of Lübeck, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. The city of seven towers has a beautiful historic center that is on the Unesco World Heritage List. Visit the famous Holstein Tower, stroll through the many picturesque streets and be sure to taste the marzipan, for which Lübeck is famous. You can also take a boat ride around the city. Then it's time for pure relaxation at the resort's award-winning spa with indoor and outdoor pools, saunas and invigorating treatments.
Day 3: Bike ride along the Baltic coast
An active day begins with a bike ride along the coast. With your own bike or with a rental bike and a detailed map from the hotel, explore beautiful routes and ride past a historic distillery, an artisan cheese dairy and the fishing company Rahtje. Finish at Selenter See, the second largest lake in the region.
Day 4: Hamburg
Bustling Hamburg, on the Elbe River, is Germany's second-largest city. The city has one of the largest ports in Europe. Here you can visit the Speicherstadt, the largest warehouse complex in the world, and the Elbphilharmonie, a concert hall with a futuristic "look. You will discover the lively Sankt Pauli district with the famous Reeperbahn and end the day with a drink by the Alster, a tributary of the Elbe. Back at the resort, take a dip in one of several heated pools.
Day 5: Kiel and Schloss Plön
Today you will visit Kiel, a lively port and shopping city with an interesting shipping museum, modern architecture and maritime history. Stroll along the harbor promenade, go shopping on Holstenstrasse and enjoy fresh fish at a local bistro. On the way back you can visit Schloss Plön, an elegant castle overlooking Lake Plön.
Day 6: Sehlendorfer Binnensee
Today you can take a walk in the nature reserve around the shallow lake Sehlendorfer Binnensee. Due to the open connection to the Baltic Sea via the Broeck, salt water flows into the lake. The changing salinity levels create a varied habitat for birds and for various plant and animal species. In the afternoon, relax on the hotel's private beach or take part in an outdoor yoga session surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Day 7: Relaxing Day
Enjoy a leisurely morning at the resort. Take a final stroll through the gardens or enjoy a relaxing spa session. For a tasty finale, join us at restaurant Bootshaus right on the beach. Fresh seafood and local specialties are on the menu here.
Day 8: Back home
After a final breakfast, you return home with a suitcase full of great memories.
