This small hotel, housed in a former 12th-century Benedictine abbey, is brand new. It was renovated with great passion, dedication and good taste by the Galletti family. The rooms are cosily decorated with a contemporary touch, but while still respecting the authenticity of the building, allowing them to fit perfectly into the charming setting. In addition to the abbey, the family also revived the farm. They bought new livestock, they carefully restored the neglected olive trees and planted new fruit trees and crops. Here, everything revolves around biodiversity, sustainability, personal service, professionalism and - what else - delicious local cuisine, using their own products. Its location near the border with Tuscany means it is an ideal place to visit both regions.
You will find some biscuits in the room upon arrival. Enjoy the private wellness and make use of the 20% reduction that is offered. Newlyweds receive a pastry and a bottle of Prosecco in the room.
The hotel is open from the 9th of February. A minimum stay of two nights is requested in the months from June to September.

40 hectares of the estate are devoted to vegetable gardens and the cultivation of olive trees, fruit trees, vines and saffron. On their own farm, they keep cows, goats, chickens and bees. The philosophy of the hotel centres on sustainability and biodiversity, and fresh produce is used in the kitchen.
The rooms are cosily decorated with a contemporary touch while preserving authentic elements. The bathrooms have a shower, bathrobes, and slippers. Some rooms have a terrace.
The Deluxe Patio rooms are our favourite rooms as they have a terrace overlooking the surrounding nature. The spacious Junior Suite with two separate bedrooms is ideal for families with children aged twelve and over.
Enjoy the sun on one of the sun beds by the outdoor swimming pool or relax under a parasol if you prefer the shade.
For an additional fee, you can enjoy the cosy wellness area with its heated bath, hammam and ice fountain in private. Outside, there is a heated hydromassage pool, a sauna and a Kneipp trail. There are exceptional nature trails in the surrounding country where you can take beautiful walks. You will discover forests and clearings overlooking the lake on foot or by bike. On the domain, you can also play tennis for free. Nearby, you can go horseback riding, truffle hunting or take a cooking class.
Children are welcome from the age of twelve.
In the morning, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet. In the afternoon, a light lunch is available by the pool. The Essenza restaurant, with its panoramic terrace, serves tasty cuisine based on fresh and seasonal produce, mostly from its own farm. In the lounge bar, by the fireplace or on the terrace in good weather, you can sip an aperitif, digestive or cocktail.
I Borghi dell'Eremo is very tranquil and beautifully located in a vast estate of 500 hectares, with hills, vineyards and olive groves and a wealth of fauna and flora. Perugia, the region's capital, is 37 km away, Orvieto with its magnificent cathedral and the Tuscan wine town of Montepulciano 42 km away, the hill town of Todi 57 km away and Assisi with its imposing Saint Francis Basilica 60 km away.

The transfer from Perugia airport to the hotel is 70 euros per journey. From the airports of Firenze or Rome, you will pay 250 euros per journey for a transfer to the hotel.
