L’Albereta

L’Albereta

Franciacorta is a picturesque wine region in Lombardy, nestled between Brescia and the small Lake Iseo. The area is known for its rolling hills, historic villas and top-quality sparkling wines made using the traditional method. They’re often seen as Italy’s answer to Champagne. In this beautiful setting lies L’Albereta, a renowned five-star hotel. The 19th-century villa was once the private residence of lawyer Giovanni Cavalleri and his wife Anna, a music-loving patron of the arts. Thanks to her influence, the house became a vibrant hub for art and culture, complete with its own music hall and a stream of international artists as guests. That rich artistic legacy still lingers in the hotel’s unique atmosphere today.

About the rooms

No two rooms are the same. Each one exudes a warm, elegant atmosphere with refined fabrics, stylish accessories and characterful herringbone parquet flooring. Some rooms surprise with beautiful wall paintings that add an extra touch of charm. The bathrooms are well appointed and comfortable, equipped with bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer, and feature either a bathtub (sometimes with hydromassage) or a shower.

Our favourite room

Staying in the Cabriolet Suite is a truly unique experience. With the push of a button, the roof slides open to reveal the starry sky above your bed. From the balcony, you overlook the surrounding vineyards and the shimmering Lake Iseo.

Enjoy a refreshing swim

Relax by the heated outdoor pool (open roughly from May to the end of September), where comfortable sun loungers and soft towels are available free of charge.

Work out and wind down

Enjoy complimentary access to ‘Chenot Espace’, the medical wellness centre featuring a heated indoor pool, sauna and hammam. Those looking for extra indulgence can book a wide range of aesthetic, medical and therapeutic treatments for an additional fee. Guests using the wellness facilities can have lunch at the ‘Benessere’ restaurant, which serves light, plant-based dishes inspired by the Chenot diet: anti-inflammatory and low in calories. There’s also free access to the fitness room and tennis courts, and bikes or e-bikes can be rented to explore the surroundings. About 4 km away lies the Franciacorta Golf Club with its 9- and 18-hole courses, and the region is dotted with wineries to discover.

Casual chic

Breakfast is served as a generous and well-presented buffet. At L’Aurum, the gourmet restaurant, chef Alberto Quadrio creates refined dishes that spotlight local ingredients and artisanal products. You dine here in an intimate, elegant setting with views of the surrounding nature.

Leone Felice offers a more relaxed atmosphere, where you can enjoy seasonal dishes prepared with produce from the restaurant’s own vegetable garden, herb garden and orchards. For a more informal evening, head to La Filiale, where award-winning pizzaiolo Franco Pepe serves his famous pizzas — he has won multiple gold medals at the international “The Best Pizza Awards”.

Just a stone’s throw from the hotel lies Il Quintale, a restaurant specialising in top-quality meat sourced from small local farms and cooked over a charcoal grill. At Stanza 54, you can enjoy light bistro dishes throughout the day, paired with a fine glass of wine or a refreshing cocktail.
