The château was built in 1438 and underwent a striking transformation in the 20th century. One of its former owners was the flamboyant Englishman Sir Reginald Wright, famous for his extravagant parties. Later, the estate became the property of Serge Blanco, legendary fullback of the rugby team Biarritz Olympique.
The rooms in the main building have a contemporary vintage look, with soft colours, natural materials and subtle Basque touches. The atmosphere feels thoughtful, warm and filled with natural light.
The floating lodges are the hotel’s true showpiece: elegant cocoons set in the middle of the lake, accessible only by private boat. You fall asleep to the gentle sound of rippling water, a special experience for couples or families with older children.
The spa lodge. You board one of the small boats and glide across the water to your private lodge, where the stillness of the lake welcomes you instantly. On the terrace, a private jacuzzi awaits, perfect for unwinding at sunset. Inside, the serene ambiance continues with soft materials and calming views over the water.
On the lake’s edge lies a heated outdoor pool (± 16 x 8 m) with loungers and parasols. Open from 1 May to 30 September, weather permitting.
The wellness centre offers massages, treatments and personal coaching sessions. Aquagym, pilates, fitness, yoga and even dance classes, such as bolero or sacred spring dance, are all part of the programme.
