At the gateway to Provence, Château de Massillan sits set within a ten-hectare estate. Completely renovated, it offers 34 rooms and suites as well as 3 Lumipods, spread between the château and two independent residences. Your room looks out over the estate, the inner courtyard with its fountain, or the wooded park. The interiors feature a contemporary design that still honors the historic character of the château.
The estate is also home to a large vegetable and herb garden, where over 500 varieties of fruit, vegetables, plants, and herbs are grown—all making their way straight to your plate in the hotel’s organic restaurant. For relaxation, step into the 600 m² Bio Spa, complete with a balneotherapy area, hammam, saunas, and five treatment rooms (including two double cabins). Looking for an intimate setting for a private or business event? Château de Massillan also opens its doors for special occasions in an authentic setting.

The hotel's owner, Didier Perréol, was the first to discover and introduce organic quinoa in France in 1989. He visited several producers in the communities of the Bolivian Altiplano and greatly contributed to the exposure of this crop in Europe.
Every room is decorated with great attention to detail and has its own distinct character. You look out over the courtyard or the green castle park. Rooms are spread across the main building and two annexes, 'Bastide' and 'Trianon'. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, and the spaces are finished with parquet or traditional tiled floors. In the bathroom, soft bathrobes and slippers are waiting for you.
For a truly special experience, opt for one of the three Lumipods. These French-made glass accommodations sit right in the park. Thanks to large sliding windows, you live immersed in nature, a unique experience.
After a scenic bike ride through the region, unwind on the private terrace of your Luxe Terrasse room. Located in the Trianon annex, this room offers a lovely view of the park and the setting sun.
The heated outdoor pool is open from mid-May to mid-September (weather permitting). Sun loungers, parasols, and pool towels are ready for you.
In the Bio Spa, you can unwind in the balneotherapy area, enjoy a massage or treatment, or relax in the massage chairs. There is also a gym if you want to stay active. Fancy a game of pétanque? You'll find a court on the estate, and several walking trails start nearby.
Thanks to its location, the castle is a great base for exploring the region. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine routes, the villages of the Luberon, and Mont Ventoux are all close by. In August, music lovers can catch a performance at Les Chorégies d’Orange in the ancient theater of Orange. Visiting between November and March? Be sure to explore the truffle markets of Richerenches and Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux.
Choose a table in the restaurant overlooking the 10-hectare park. In summer, sit down for dinner in the courtyard around the fountain, by candlelight.
The bistronomical restaurant is open daily from May to October. From October to April, welcome is extended from Thursday lunch through Monday lunch.
Weather permitting, you can dine outside in the courtyard, or enjoy a table inside. The kitchen serves light, natural dishes made with organic ingredients straight from the estate's own vegetable garden. The sommelier is happy to guide you through a selection of organic and local wines. Breakfast is served buffet-style in the restaurant. Enjoy a selection of organic products, alongside freshly baked bread and pastries made in-house.
Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available, and dietary requirements are gladly accommodated wherever possible. As space is limited, booking your table in advance is recommended.

We do not offer a transfer service. The easiest way to reach Château de Massillan is by taxi. A ride from Orange train station to the hotel costs around €40.
