Atop a hilltop in Provence, you will discover a medieval castle, Château Le Cagnard. It is an exceptional stone building from the 13th century that is part of the city wall in the medieval village of Haut-de-Cagnes. Unwind with an in-room massage, enjoy the Provençal sunshine from your private terrace or dine under beautiful murals.
The hotel is open from April to October.
30 rooms.
Check-in is possible from 3pm, check-out is until 11 am.
From 260 euros.
The 30 rooms and suites have been beautifully restored with soft colours, original wooden beams and antique furniture full of character. Each room is unique: some are located in the heart of the village within walking distance of the main building and others have a balcony or terrace.
We prefer the junior suite with balcony. These are slightly more spacious and have an adjoining lounge. The balcony or terrace has views of the hillside or the sea. The suites also feature a reproduction of a painting by a renowned artist who lived or spent time in the village.
Relax in the cosy indoor pool with massage jets and an ideal temperature of 26°C during the winter months. You swim against the current and there is a waterfall jet.
Relax on the outdoor terrace with loungers and enjoy a snack menu, tapas and delicious cocktails in the afternoon. In the hotel's library you can find a nice book. When you step outside the hotel, you find yourself in the 'Montmartre of Provence', historic Haut-de-Cagnes. Stroll through sparkling streets full of bright flowers or take the hotel's shuttle to Cagnes-sur-Mer where you can spend a day at the beach or spend the day sailing on a private yacht. The city of Nice is also nearby and ideal for an excursion.
Children are welcome but the hotel has an adults-friendly atmosphere.
If you are looking for a romantic experience, book a private dinner on the sunny terrace, where enjoy breathtaking views and a glass of cool champagne.
The hotel's restaurant guarantees refined cuisine with breathtaking sea views. You will taste local and seasonal specialities under beautiful murals or if the sliding ceiling opens, you will dine under a clear blue sky or starry night sky - a unique experience!
