Surrounded by a beautiful natural area and a stone's throw from the sea lies the 9-hectare estate of Craveiral Farmhouse. The hotel is a very personal project of a former Lisbon lawyer who fell in love with an old carnation farm. He wanted to create a place where families wake up close to nature and where couples could peacefully relax. This hotel aims for the perfect combination of nature and comfort, luxury and simplicity. This is where you will enjoy the Portuguese 'simple luxury style'.
The hotel is open all year round.
This hotel offers 38 studios and cottages.

Set in an informal and village-like setting with beautiful natural surroundings, 38 independent whitewashed studios and residences have been created here. They are clustered around courtyards, with private wooden terraces. A sleek and contemporary Portuguese design finished with high-quality materials has been selected for the furnishings. All houses include an equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a wood-burning stove (except for the studios), a private terrace, internet, television and air conditioning. The houses are within walking distance of the main building and swimming pools.
The farmhouse is perfect for families with children. The farmloft, in turn, is the ideal retreat for couples looking for a romantic break including access to a semi-private swimming pool.
The hotel has a total of four swimming pools. One of the pools is a rectangular outdoor pool with a smaller shallow pool for toddlers and this amid unspoilt Alentejo scenery. One of the other pools is located in a barn with a fireplace and sun loungers.
The wellness area is equipped with a sauna, hammam and indoor pool. Here you will definitely want to retreat for an afternoon of relaxation and just doing nothing. If you prefer something more sporty, you can go horse riding, surfing or take surfing lessons and even go quad biking. The hotel itself organises plenty of activities for both young and old, so you certainly won't be bored here.
Children are more than welcome here. Your little ones can let off steam on the property. There's horse riding and cycling, a farm full of cute animals including donkeys and goats that you can pet and help look after. By the way, the hotel also organises plenty of activities for the youngest guests including painting sessions, clay modelling, an open-air cinema, stargazing, all together around the fire. At the end of the day, the question is not whether they will like it there but whether they will still want to come home.
In the colder months, by the fireplace, in summer on the terrace. The later in the evening, the more beautiful the starry sky so look up from time to time while enjoying that glass of wine.
The restaurant works according to the 'from garden to table' concept. The hotel is almost entirely self-sufficient and what they do not grow themselves comes from local farmers in the area. Chef Alexandra Silva serves a simple, seasonal menu with a creative twist. Healthy and above all very tasty!
