Does anything make more sense than staying in an authentic castle when travelling to the Loire region? The Domaine de la Tortinière has quite a history, one that its friendly managers will be happy to tell you about. The 32 rooms, including the six suites, are scattered throughout the Castle and pavilions, and they find the perfect balance between being charmingly classic and having modern comforts. Newlyweds get a bottle of Loire sparkling wine and an upgrade depending on availability on arrival, except in June, July, and August. Caractère customers receive a welcome drink in their room and two local jams made from wine from Chinon or Vouvray. There is an impressive number of forest cyclamen in the park in the flowering season, from around 30 August to 30 October.

The heated outdoor swimming pool is open from early March to late October, depending on the weather. There are sun loungers and parasols available.

Nearby you can go horse riding, play golf, and go on a helicopter or hot-air balloon trip. It is ideally located for visiting the famous Loire castles.

The hotel is very quietly located, in a wooded park of around 15 hectares on the banks of the river Indre. Tours is at 15 km. It is ideally situated for excursions to the great Loire castles. Montbazon is about 2 km away, Azay-le-Rideau 20 km away, Amboise and Chenonceaux 35 km away and Chambord 90 km away.
