In this mystery crime novel, Christie outlines the archetype of a London luxury hotel: "stately and gracious, but also always discreet and understated". The writer left out specific details so that readers would not be able to figure out the exact hotel. Two hotels in Mayfair matched the picture outlined, but experts believe Flemings is the most likely hotel.
