The story of this small-scale hotel began about 200 years ago. The former mansion was a country retreat for several European aristocrats who came to spend the winter in Sicily. When Baron Ignazio Genuardi decided to buy the estate and give it to his son, the place was mainly used to meditate and unwind. The son, Gerlando Genuardi, decided to become a bishop and built an ecclesiastical career there through his intellectual qualities. Fontes Episcopi was the favorite residence of the bishop because of the prevailing peace and harmony, which is still present today.
Upon arrival, Caractère clients receive an aperitif on the house.

You have no menu to choose from because "la mamma" prepares all her specialities, taking into account guests' tastes and allergies. So you can always inform yourself in advance. "La mamma" always surprises you with delicious dishes in a casual, informal atmosphere.
