In 1888, the imperial family of Austria ordered a residence to be built on the western shore of Lake Garda. It was no coincidence, as this place has breathtakig nature. 130 years later, the graceful building has become the Grand Hotel Fasano & Villa Principe. Besides its stunning location right on the lake, the hotel offers professional service, delicious cuisine, an invigorating wellness centre and an incomparable atmosphere.
Caractère customers receive a pack of Felicetti pasta at check-out. Complimentary sweets and newspapers are available in the bar. Newlyweds get a bottle of Prosecco in their room.
The hotel is open from april to early November. Depending on the season, a minimum stay of two to a maximum of five or seven nights is required.

The hotel is a former 19th-century hunting residence of the imperial family of Austria. They hunted pheasants here, hence the hotel's name.
The comfortable rooms are located in the main building (most of them) or in the nearby 'Villa Principe' (the former hunting pavilion). They are on the street side or on the lake side. The lake side rooms are more recently renovated and mostly come with a balcony or terrace. They have TV, telephone, minibar, air conditioning, safe, Wi-Fi, and parquet floors. In the bathroom you will find a bath or shower, a toilet, a bidet, a hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers.
We recommend a lake-side room in the main building, for example the 'Superior'. Those who prefer a balcony or terrace should choose a 'deluxe' room.
There is an outdoor pool with free loungers, parasols, hydromassage pool, children's pool with small slide and a heated area connected to the indoor pool.
You can enjoy the wellness centre including a free sauna, hammam, Kneipp trail and fitness. Body treatments are available at a supplement. Mountain bikes are also available. There are two golf clubs (18 holes) within a radius of about 15 kilometres. Renting a boat is also possible. About three times a week you can enjoy live music during the aperitif on the stylish lounge terrace with bar and lake view. You can also visit Gabriele d'Annunzio's 'Il Vittoriale', which is about 300 metres away.
We recommend you to dress in a smart casual way in the restaurant Il Fagiano. In the other restaurants you can dress in a casual manner.
It is very special to eat under the imposing and centuries-old Magnolia trees in the garden while overlooking the pool.
There is an extensive breakfast buffet. At lunchtime there is home-made pasta and grill dishes, which are served under two beautiful magnolia trees. In the evening, you can enjoy chef Bufi Maurizio's excellent, refined cuisine in the elegant 'Il Fagiano' Restaurant. The more informal 'Trattoria il Pescatore' serves fresh fish specialities. The lakeside restaurant 'La Darsena' at about three kilometres serves tapas, pizza and grilled dishes. In good weather, meals can be enjoyed outdoors.
The hotel is located right on the shores of Lake Garda, in a beautiful park with palm trees, fountains and shaded corners. Salò is at 4 km, Sirmione at 40 km and Verona at 70 km.
Bergamo airport is 50 kilometres away, Verona 78 kilometres and Venice 203 kilometres.
