In the centre of Cascais, a stone's throw from the medieval citadel and the beach, lies the brand new Hotel Artsy. An already iconic building that is part mansion, part art installation. The original mansion dates back to 1900 and was the holiday residence of several aristocratic families. The new wing is behind a concrete facade designed by renowned Portuguese street artist VHILS. Through the openings in the concrete, light literally dances in, turning your room into a true work of art.
The hotel is open all year round.
This hotel offers 17 rooms and suites.
Check-in is from 4 pm onwards. Check-out is at 1 pm. Are you arriving earlier than 4 pm? Then you can already use the lounge bar and the rooftop pool while you wait for your room to be ready.

Every Saturday you can take part in an 'ARTSY Easy Saturday' session at Marechal Carmona Park where your body and mind will completely unwind during a yoga session.
The hotel has 17 rooms and suites spread across the old and modern parts of the building. The interiors of the rooms were designed by Marta Carreira, who brought a neutral, soothing atmosphere to the hotel to let the eye-catching artworks stand out.
For the best views, take the attic room. This room has a balcony overlooking the sea. We are fans of the ARTIST rooms in the new wing. The floor-to-ceiling windows are wrapped in the stone facade, allowing a beautiful dancing light to fall through the room as the afternoon sun shines in. It creates the feeling of sleeping in a work of art.
The glass lift takes you to the roof of the hotel where a small saltwater pool is situated. The pool is flanked by loungers and parasols and offers prime views of the citadel of Cascais.
Artsy does not have its own spa or fitness but works closely with a wellness and fitness centre within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel organises numerous excursions and experiences itself including, bike tours, walks through Cascais, wine tastings and surfing lessons.
Artsy Cascais is an adults friendly hotel. This means that little Caractère customers are welcome to stay but there are no specific facilities for children.
Opt for a table near the open kitchen. It's interesting to watch the chefs create their culinary masterpieces.
Breakfast is served in the 'Pink Room', a special room reserved for mornings. For lunch, the rooftop terrace is a must. Enjoy light dishes under a lovely afternoon sun. In the evening, dine at the Art restaurant where the emphasis is on local seafood dishes led by chef Daniel Estriga. Every dish here gets an artistic touch. The lounge bar is especially cosy. A cosy space for a cocktail, it features bookshelves and cool artworks on the walls.
Centrally located on Avenida Dom Carlos I, the hotel overlooks Cascais Bay and is within walking distance of the waterfront. The hotel is close to the beautiful Guincho beach and 20 minutes from Lisbon city centre. Quinta da Regaleir is 17 km away and Sintra National Palace is 18 km away.
Lisbon Airport is 38 km from the hotel.
We will gladly arrange a transfer from the airport to the hotel for you if required.
The hotel does not have its own car park but cooperates with a nearby car park where you can safely park your car for about 25 euros per day.
A lovely new hotel in the fashionable city of Cascais which is already being called iconic. If you have always wanted to sleep in a work of art, then you should definitely stay at this hotel.
