Every year, the hotel invites an international artist for a three-week stay. In this inspiring setting, creative talents from various disciplines receive accommodation, meals and a private studio, with time to draw inspiration from the landscape and local craft traditions. The artworks created during their stay remain as lasting mementos and are displayed in the hotel, either temporarily or permanently.
The rooms are spacious, bright and exude a timeless sense of calm. They are designed according to the Japanese Wabi Sabi philosophy, using natural materials such as limestone and clay, soft tones and carefully selected furniture and objects with character. You’ll sleep in a comfortable boxspring bed (1.90 m x 2 m) and wake up to the sights and sounds of nature. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower (one Dolomites Loggia has a bathtub), bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer. To help guests truly unwind, there are no televisions in the rooms and the Wi-Fi is automatically switched off between midnight and 7 a.m.

Walking sticks, backpacks and snowshoes are available for rent. With an extensive network of trails around the Monzoccolo (Tschögglberg), hikers and joggers will find endless paths to explore. At the top lies the Salto, an impressive plateau covered in larch meadows that turn into a vibrant display of colours in autumn.
Cycling enthusiasts can use a secure bike storage room and enjoy numerous marked routes. San Genesio is also home to the famous Haflinger horses: there are four riding stables within a 10 km radius. Golf lovers will find two nearby courses — an 18-hole course at the foot of the Seiser Alm (± 15 km) and a 9-hole course about 17 km away.
Children are warmly welcomed here, though there are no specific facilities or activities designed for them.
Be sure to try the delicious Canerdeli or Knödel, prepared the traditional way, just like grandma used to make.

At Saltino Bistro, the atmosphere is more relaxed, ideal for a light meal or a quick bite. When the weather is nice, meals are served outdoors, surrounded by nature.
