Owner Clara, her husband Michele and their son Luca welcome you with immense hospitality. The kitchen is run by their daughter, the young and very talented Martina Caruso.
The rooms are decorated in a typical Aeolian style, keeping them simple but charming. They have TV, telephone, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, minibar, safe and tiled floors. The bathrooms have a shower or bath, a toilet, bidet, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers.
The basic rooms (classic and superior) are very small. Therefore, we recommend the deluxe type. This room also has a sea view.
The outdoor swimming pool is open according to the weather conditions. There are free sun loungers available. The pebbly Punta Scario beach is about 1 km away.
The lovely Wellness Centre, which welcomes guests from the age of 13, is partly open-air and inspired by Aeolian spas, with thermal baths, jacuzzi, steam bath and Turkish bath. Massages and body treatments are available at an extra cost. Discover the island's beautiful nature along the marked hiking trails or by taking a boat trip around the island and climb the two extinct volcanic peaks Fossa delle Felci and Monte Porri.
At Hotel Signum, you can choose between Michelin restaurant Signum's three top terraces, all of which are of equal value.
There is a breakfast buffet with hot and cold dishes and homemade cakes and biscuits. In the restaurant you will enjoy refined Mediterranean cuisine, using fresh products, home-made pastas and an extensive wine list. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meal on the cosy terrace overlooking the sea. The restaurant was awarded one Michelin star and it is recommend to book in advance. The degustation menu starts at about 100 euros per person, excluding drinks.
The hotel is in a peaceful location, hidden among bougainvilleas and citrus trees, in the northern village of Malfa, overlooking the smouldering crater of Stromboli. You can reach the sea, which is about 1 km away via steps. The little port of Santa Marina is at 8 km and you can sail from there to the port of Milazzo in Sicily in around 1h30.
It is best to book a flight to Catania.
There is a transfer available between the port of Santa Marina, Salina and the hotel, which costs around 25 euros per journey. A transfer between Catania airport and the port of Milazzo costs around 210 euros per journey, or 260 euros for four people. A boat ticket from Milazzo to Salina costs around 25 euros per person.
We do not recommend driving yourself on this small island.
