The inauguration of the Nantes–Le Croisic railway line in 1879 marked the beginning of a new chapter for the 9-kilometre bay of La Baule, framed by its fragrant pine forests. A few years later, the opening of a thalassotherapy centre with a hotel attracted the wealthy elite. Elegant villas soon appeared among the trees, connected by pathways and lush gardens.
During World War I, La Baule became a refuge for the Allied forces and gained international prestige. Since then, it has held its reputation as an exceptional seaside resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, timeless and full of grace.
Beautifully located, this renowned Grand Hôtel overlooks one of Europe’s most stunning bays and its 9 km stretch of fine sandy beach. The perfect address for a stylish stay and to explore the beauty of the Breton coastline.
The hotel welcomes guests from 7 May to 1 November 2026.
