All rooms feature stylish and elegant interiors designed by renowned Portuguese interior designer Nini Andrade Silva. A combination of wall-sized graphics was chosen in combination with vintage furniture and accessories. The colour palette is inspired by the natural environment: palm green, deep turquoise and lava stone gray.
The terrace rooms with private pool really stand out from the rest. They are specially designed for anyone who wants to be completely pampered. The rooms offer a terrace with loungers and a private pool where you can unwind at the end of the day with a book and a glass of wine.
The hotel has two heated thermal pools, one indoor and one outdoor. These are open 24 hours a day. Around the pool you will find a wooden deck with loungers and umbrellas in the middle of the greenery.
A highlight for any wellness enthusiast is the hotel's thermal and spa centre. A place for deep contact with nature, to rest and forget all your worries. You will find indoor and outdoor pools fuelled by natural hot springs, a hammam, Vichy shower and hydromassage shower. There are also numerous treatments, therapies and massages available. Children of all ages are welcome here but the hotel has no specific children's facilities. Children are only allowed in the pool between 9 am and 1 pm.
'Cozida à TERRA,' a typical dish of the region, is cooked at high temperatures over hot springs. It is made from local products, such as jams and sweet potatoes, alheira sausage from Santa Maria, beef and vegetables from Bio Kairos. A journey through the history of Portuguese stew flavours!
The interior of the restaurant is a tribute to the natural beauty of the island with lots of greenery and natural colours, but you definitely want to sit in the garden!
Restaurant À TERRA is managed by Chef Henrique Mouro and offers mainly local dishes based on fresh ingredients. The Chef is passionate about the flavours of the Azores and enjoys preparing authentic, traditional dishes in a contemporary way. In fact, most dishes are prepared in a typical wood-fired oven. The restaurant is in harmony with its natural surroundings, with plenty of light and a relaxed atmosphere. When the weather is nice, you can eat outside on the terrace. The TERRA Lounge, a conservatory-style bar with a glass ceiling, lots of greenery and firewood behind the bar, is a relaxing place to have an aperitif. Be sure to try the local Portuguese almond liqueur Amarguinha, the hotel's signature drink with peach and apple. Not a fan? They also make the best pineapple caipirinhas.
