The hotel's name refers to the Saracens - the Muslim Arabs who occupied much of Sicily in the Middle Ages and left an indelible cultural influence. Remains at the site, including ruins of ancient buildings and defences, suggest that the area was once a strategic lookout.
The 12 rooms are spread over one floor. They are uniquely decorated and have warm, bright colours.
The Bungalow Deluxe is undoubtedly our favourite. This room has its own private pool and panoramic views of the valley and Mount Etna.
