Boutique Hotel Rosselli, in the historic heart of Valletta, was the 17th-century home of wealthy Maltese goldsmith, philanthropist and knight Don Pietro Rosselli and his wife Alusietta Massa. Admittedly, the don would not recognize his former abode today with that profusion of marble, custom-made floral wallpaper and avant-garde furniture. Since his stay, a bar and pool have been installed on the chill-out rooftop terrace and they serve refined cuisine. But at least the man lives on in the monograms and family crest hanging over the entrance.
The hotel is open all year round.
25 rooms and suites with unique details and steeped in Valletta's history.

The hotel does not have a physical spa, but book a 'Don Pietro room' and you will have a sauna. Wellness treatments are performed in your room by local therapists: black soap scrubs, couples' massages, vinotherapy body wraps, Thai massages.... wonderful right?
All rooms and suites in this Baroque gem are carefully designed with a nod to the history of Don Pietro and his family. For example, the comfort rooms 'Maruzzo' are named after the heir to the family. They exude a sense of youthful nobility and are filled with rich textures. The Deluxe rooms, in turn, are a tribute to his wife Alusietta and are a serene and elegant space with feminine undertones (the sewing box, which you get to take home, was inspired by the tailors of Merchants Street).
The Don Pietro Room. Set around the hotel's vaulted colonnade, these suites overlook the palazzo's courtyard. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you'll definitely come to rest here.
Sip a Moscow Mule by the poolside, relax with a book or magazine or just close your eyes and soak up the warm Mediterranean sun. If it gets too hot, you can take a refreshing dip in the splash pool on the rooftop terrace while enjoying the beautiful view of Valletta's rooftops.
Whether it is the rooftop bar with panoramic views, the relaxing lounge area that is an architectural gem, the chic restaurants or the spa and wellness facilities in some of the suites, this hotel will surely take your stay in Malta to the next level.
Eating is one of life's greatest pleasures, and eating out is a ritual that the Maltese have perfected. So brace yourself for an exceptional dining experience. Inspired by the tailors of yesteryear, whose workshops were located on Merchants' Street, a few steps away from Rosselli, the restaurant was named Grain. Like a tailor, the chef is skilled with his hands, and his artistry is reflected in the final product.
Rosselli is located at the heart of Valletta. The capital is a people-sized city, so all sights, museums, restaurants and bars can be easily visited on foot. Malta airport is about 10 km from the hotel.
