'La Cave de Clarisse' stocks over 500 different bottles of wine, carefully selected by Eric Beaumard, 'vice-meilleur sommelier du monde' in 1998. You can compose your meal with the chef by buying your favourite vegetables, for example. You do need to request this 24 hours in advance.
This hotel is quietly located about 250 meters from the marina of the capital St-Martin-de-Ré, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Ile de Ré is accessible via a toll bridge from La Rochelle. La Rochelle is 20 kilometers, Rochefort 54 kilometers and Marennes, with its famous oyster farms, 78 kilometers.
A transfer from La Rochelle's TGV station to the hotel costs 75 euros each way.
