Some holiday homes make it surprisingly hard to choose between heading out and staying in. Villa Talè Kà is one of them. Just 3 km from the UNESCO-listed town of Noto, this design villa sits among the vineyards and olive trees of south-eastern Sicily. Its name means “look there!” in old Sicilian. One glance at the view and you’ll understand why.
Inside, you’ll find high ceilings and beautiful materials. Outside, there’s all the space and privacy you need for a leisurely breakfast, a good book or an aperitivo. Exploring Noto is on the agenda. Although another hour here sounds pretty tempting.
Four spacious, comfortable double bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms with large rain showers. A cosy space for everyone.
Your holiday starts at 4 pm. Check-out is before 10 am.
From €490.
Books, board games and Netflix with Chromecast are all there. Feel like heading out? There are bikes ready for you too.
High ceilings, beautiful materials and large windows make the rooms feel bright and spacious. The views of the Sicilian countryside are a lovely bonus. Air conditioning and designer fans keep things pleasantly cool, while the luxurious bathrooms come with large rain showers.
A few laps or straight to a sun lounger? At the 14 × 3.5-metre tiled pool, both sound like a good plan. A spacious sun terrace surrounds the pool, with a one-and-a-half-hectare garden beyond. With over 100 m² of terraces and a built-in outdoor barbecue, there’s plenty of room to get everyone together for dinner.
Vineyards, olive trees and all the peace and privacy you could wish for. Ready to explore? The Vendicari and Cava Grande nature reserves are nearby. Syracuse and its historic island of Ortigia, Modica, Ragusa and Scicli also make lovely outings. For Mount Etna, set aside a full day.
Children are welcome! With a pool, a large garden and board games close at hand, keeping busy should be easy. Getting everyone to bed might be the trickiest part of the day.
Cooking feels like less of a chore here. The designer kitchen comes with an XL induction hob, an American-style fridge-freezer, a combination oven, a dishwasher and more cookware than you’ll probably need. The espresso machine takes care of your coffee. Outside, the built-in barbecue is ready for the grill enthusiast in your group.
Prefer to leave the cooking to someone else? On request, a private chef will prepare traditional Sicilian dishes in the villa. All you have to do is take a seat.
Noto’s town centre is just 2–3 kilometres away, with plenty of restaurants and lively bars. Try Dammuso, Norma Bistrot, Tannur or Anche gli Angeli, or head to Esperia for pizza. Casamatta and Marpessa are worth adding to your list too.
Of course, there’s always room for gelato. Pick your favourite flavours at Gelati Bianca, near the cathedral. For a drink, stop by Bar A Sud.
There’s good food beyond Noto too. Try Ci: Vulia seafood restaurant in Avola, or book a table at W Villadorata Country Restaurant, in the direction of Rosolini.
