The owners, who built the hotel themselves, also run a local construction company. Deeply connected to their region, they wanted to create more than just a place to stay, a project that contributes to the local community and welcomes travellers eager to discover the charm of the Rheingau.
Spacious and full of natural light, the rooms are elegantly decorated with soft tones and natural materials. Each features a balcony or terrace overlooking the surrounding landscape. The modern bathrooms include a walk-in shower, make-up mirror, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers.
The Weit.Blick Loge (± 25 m²) and the larger Weit.Blick Junior Suite (± 45 m²) stand out for their beautiful panoramic views over the green surroundings. The family suites are ideal for families, with a separate master bedroom with double bed and a connecting room with bunk beds for the children.
Guests enjoy complimentary access to the rooftop saunas with panoramic views of the landscape: a Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna and an infrared sauna. On Saturdays and Sundays, the day begins peacefully with free yoga sessions from around 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. A fitness room is also freely accessible.
For those who love outdoor activities, e-bikes and mountain bikes are available for rent. Nearby, the “Wald.Weit Flowtrails” mountain bike park offers routes for both beginners and experienced riders. Hikers have direct access to the Rheinsteig trail, one of Germany’s most scenic routes.
In the surrounding area, you’ll find three 18-hole golf courses within a 15 km radius and horse-riding opportunities about 12 km away. Between April and October, boat trips on the Rhine depart from Rüdesheim and Wiesbaden, passing vineyards, castles and historic towns in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Culture and history lovers will enjoy visiting the 12th-century Kloster Eberbach (± 4 km), a former Cistercian abbey with impressive architecture and its own vineyards. The region is also home to numerous castles, such as the romantic Burg Reichenstein, the historic Schloss Johannisberg (home to the first Riesling vineyard of the Rheingau) and Burg Sooneck, known for its iconic view over the Rhine.
Children are warmly welcomed, although there are no specific facilities. Connecting rooms are available on request for families.
At breakfast, don’t miss the Eggs Benedict, poached eggs with ham and hollandaise sauce on toasted bread. For dinner, the birch bark ravioli with pumpkin, porcini mushrooms and ricotta is an absolute must-try.

A generous and high-quality breakfast buffet provides a delicious start to the day. At restaurant Wald.Fein, you can enjoy a refined, creative cuisine at lunch or dinner, prepared with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients: herbs from the hotel’s own garden, regional game, fresh vegetables and forest produce. The sommelier will gladly recommend one of the more than 400 Rheingau wines.
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, you can, for an extra charge, indulge in an Afternoon Tea with coffee, tea, cake and homemade biscuits. The rooftop lounge bar Wald.Tropfen is the perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail or a glass of local wine, while taking in views of the vineyards and surrounding forest. In good weather, meals are served on the spacious panoramic terrace, a place where flavour and scenery come together perfectly.
The hotel enjoys a peaceful setting in the heart of an 18-hectare forest, overlooking the vineyards and the Rhine Valley. About 20 kilometres away lies Rüdesheim, a charming wine town with winding streets, inviting wine bars and a lively riverside promenade. A little closer, Wiesbaden (± 17 km) impresses with its elegant spa culture, thermal baths and stylish shopping streets. Also worth a visit is Mainz (± 28 km), with its imposing cathedral, the Gutenberg Museum and a historic old town full of lively squares and terraces.
