Everything begins simply with a phone call. We take the time to listen to you, to really understand what you want. What are your interests, your personal preferences and what is your budget? Based on that, we get to work and create a trip that fits your dreams exactly.
You can trust us blindly. Our travel consultants spend as many as four weeks a year in the field, visiting accommodations, delving into their specialized regions and discovering those hidden gems that will give your trip that extra bit of magic.
Sure, you can dig through hundreds of online reviews yourself and try to figure everything out, but nothing beats talking to experts who have been there, experienced it themselves and can tell you exactly what to expect.
Once we know very well what you want and, more importantly, what you'd rather not want, we get to work shaping your trip. We puzzle, discuss and puzzle with pleasure until your trip is exactly what you hoped it would be. And you decide what we can arrange for you and what you prefer to do yourself (nothing at all is the best choice there according to us ;-)).
Your trip is finished, you can count on that anyway. Our Caractère service not only stands for a guaranteed wonderful vacation steeped in the Caractère lifestyle. We also provide little extras that make a big difference to your vacation. Just think of a fastlane or lounge pass, an extensive road book and fun Caractère extras in your hotel.
We are a luxury tour operator specializing in customized travel. "Tour operator" we call ourselves, but you might as well call us a "travel agent" - the term doesn't matter to us, as long as your trip will be perfect.
Basically, we take care of your entire vacation from start to finish. We are your single point of contact through the entire process - for as long as you want (of course, you can choose to arrange certain things, such as flights or a hotel that we don't offer, yourself).
Once we've put together your vacation completely to your liking and you're 100% happy with it, we'll make sure everything is arranged with the hotels, airlines, transfers and all the experiences you want to have. The price we agree is the price you pay, and we pay the suppliers. You don't have to worry about payments in local currency during your stay.
Thanks to our close partnerships with suppliers, we can often offer better prices than if you were to book everything yourself. In addition, you have the advantage that if something goes wrong - a room that doesn't match, a missed flight connection - it's up to us to fix everything for you.
Your vacation with us is fully protected by the ABTOT system (the Association of Bonded Travel Organizers Trust). This is a UK insurance scheme that ensures that wherever you travel from, your vacation is financially protected. So, should it ever happen that we are unable to deliver your trip due to financial difficulties, you will receive a full refund of the amount you paid without fuss.
