Nestled in the Rubicon Valley, between Cesena and the Republic of San Marino, amidst vineyards , orchards and olive groves lies the historic town of Longiano dominated by an imposing castle. The castle was one of the residences of the Malatesta family, once one of Italy's most important and influential noble families. This is one of those places where you can see Emilia Romagna from its most authentic side. In this setting lies the small-scale Relais Villa Margherita with its 2* Michelin top restaurant.

Our favourites are the rooms Timo and Malvia or the suite Aneto, which has a hydromassage bath. These rooms have a terrace with beautiful views.

Santarcangelo, 11 km away, is one of the most beautiful villages in the region. Through narrow streets and ancient squares, you can walk straight into the Middle Ages. You can also visit several wineries in the region with tasting.
