Various designers and architects paid enormous attention to detail in all rooms over time. They also have a Nespresso machine, care products by Lederhaas, bathrobes and slippers.
Each room is unique and different but our favourites are the Medium Suites. They are spacious suites with lots of light. You have the White Suite, among others, but also suites in shades of green, red or gray. Culture lovers can choose the Opera Suite or Theater Suite.
The hotel itself has no pool but Vienna has some trendy city beaches on the Danube where you can enjoy a drink and take a refreshing dip on a hot summer day.
Hotel Altstadt is perfectly located for a tour of Austria's finest art. After a laid-back breakfast in the three-storey lounge, you can check out the hotel's extraordinary contemporary collection and then head to the nearby MuseumsQuartier. A cultural wisp between baroque buildings and cyberspace. Here you will discover the Leopold Museum, the modern MUMOK, the Zoom Children's Museum and several other art institutions, among others. Across the street are the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Natural History Museum. Around the corner from the hotel is Mariahilfer Strasse, Vienna's longest shopping street, with well-known shops and nice boutiques.
Between May and September, enjoy a delicious appetiser on their rooftop terrace, a green oasis in the middle of the city with fun murals.
