Day 1: Departure to Marrakech
From Brussels you fly to Marrakech, where a private driver will wait for you and take you to your hotel. You will stay in the Medina, the old center of the city, at the beautiful La Sultana Marrakech. Tonight you will dine in a traditional Moroccan restaurant, where the local cuisine will awaken all your senses.
Day 2: Marrakech
Today you will be fully immersed in the cultural heritage of Marrakech where a private guide will show you every nook and cranny of the city. You will visit the iconic symbol of Marrakech, the Koutoubia Mosque. You will then stroll through the Bahia Palace which reflects the opulent lifestyle of the royal family who once resided here. Have lunch on a roof-top terrace overlooking the souks. In the afternoon stroll through the bustling souks of the Medina. You will meet the artisans who will proudly show you their crafts, from vibrant textiles to beautiful pottery. A visit to the Ben Yousseef Madrasa, a magnificent example of Islamic architecture and the Mllah, the historic Jewish quarter are also on the program.
Day 3: Marrakech
Start your day with an unforgettable balloon ride over Marrakech. As the sun rises over the city, you'll soar high above the landscape and enjoy the stunning views of Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains and vast palm forests. After your balloon adventure, you will be returned to your hotel, where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast and some well-deserved free time. In the afternoon you will explore some of Marrakech's artistic and cultural treasures. You will visit the Majorelle Garden, known for its vibrant blue buildings and exotic plants. Next to the garden is the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, where you can admire the life and work of one of the most iconic fashion designers.
Day 4: Atlas Mountains
After breakfast, your private driver will be waiting for you and take you into the heart of the Atlas Mountains. As you traverse winding roads and picturesque villages, enjoy the beauty of the rugged terrain and traditional Berber architecture. You will stay two nights at Kasbah Bab Ourika, a boutique hotel with a unique character. Perched atop the Ourika Valley, the kasbah overlooks the river, olive, orange and lemon groves, and the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains.
Day 5: Atlas Mountains
Together with an experienced mountain guide, you will hike through the breathtaking landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. You will enjoy a leisurely trek along scenic mountain trails, passing through green oases and vast fruit plantations. Along the way, you will stop at small Berber villages and learn about the region's unique flora and the vital importance of water in the local ecosystem. You will experience the warm hospitality of the Berbers during a traditional tea ceremony. They will also teach you how to bake their traditional bread and you will taste a traditional Berber tagine prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Your driver will take you back to the Kasbah but not before making another stop in the Ourika Valley where you will discover the Ourika waterfalls. Dine tonight at the Kasbah and enjoy a spectacular sunset.
Day 6: Return home
Your vacation is over. After breakfast, your driver will take you back to Marrakech where you will take the plane back home.
