Deep in the Finnish forests, just outside the village of Levi, lies Lapland Lodge. A wonderfully peaceful spot where you can choose between a sleek, modern design villa or a cosy log cabin. Whichever you prefer, large windows look straight out into the woods. If you're lucky, you might even see the northern lights appear in the night sky, right from the comfort of your sofa.
The best part here is the absolute privacy. If you book the resort, you have the entire place exclusively for your own group. After a day out in the fresh air, there's nothing better than warming up in your own outdoor jacuzzi under the stars.
Lapland Lodge is open all year round. You can stay here during the magical winter months as well as during the peaceful summer and autumn months.
In total, Lapland Lodge features four unique accommodations, divided between two modern design villas near the Levi ski slopes and two authentic properties at the peaceful lakeside resort.
We will arrange the exact check-in and check-out times flexibly with you when booking, so your arrival connects smoothly with your flight to nearby Kittilä. The hosts are ready to give you a warm welcome and show you around the property.
Prices for a stay are variable and depend on your exact arrival date. Because we work with flexible daily rates, we always calculate a custom price for your preferred travel period.
Lapland Lodge offers four different accommodations spread across two locations. In the expansive Levi ski area, you'll find Villa Lumi 1 (perfect for families or small groups of up to 4 people) and Villa Lumi 2 (a spacious luxury villa for groups of up to 10 people). A bit further along, tucked away in the pure wilderness by Lake Silmäsjärvi, lies the Lapland Lodge Resort. This is a small-scale complex featuring the authentic 'Kelo' log cabin and the modern 'Aurora' rooms.
If we really had to choose, we’d go for the Aurora rooms at the Lapland Lodge Resort. These rooms combine the cosy feel of traditional log cabins with a sleek, modern interior. Thanks to the massive floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, it feels like you're sleeping outside in the snow, but with all the warmth and comfort of being indoors. It’s the perfect spot to view the starry sky and the magical northern lights right from your bed.
Water takes centre stage here, especially at the Lakeside Cabin 'Topi'. It sits right on the shore of a peaceful private lake. In summer, you can easily hop onto the rowing boat or the motorized raft waiting for you to fish or cruise in total silence, with not a soul around. After a refreshing dip in the lake, warm up in the wood-fired sauna on the waterfront, and end your day in the hot tub overlooking the water.
Here, you'll find the perfect balance between action and relaxation. Head out into the wilderness by day for a husky safari, take a snowmobile trip, or hit the slopes at the nearby Levi ski resort. In the warmer months, you can hike straight into the hills from the property. After an active day, the focus shifts entirely to wellness. Enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna session and then sink into the warm outdoor jacuzzi under the polar night or the midnight sun.
The villas and the resort are wonderfully spacious, making it easy to stay here comfortably with the whole family. There is plenty of space for the kids to play, both indoors and outside around the lake or in the snow. In the evenings, you can roast marshmallows together in the traditional Finnish 'kota' (a wooden hut with a fire pit) or look up at the stars outside. A lovely, peaceful place for a holiday with the children.
Be sure to ask about their 'From catch to the Table' concept. While salmon remains a favorite, the real pride of the lodge is the plankton-whitefish (or Siika in Finnish), sourced directly from their own Lake Silmäsjärvi. You can help with the fishing yourself, and in the evening, the chef prepares the fresh catch. And if you catch a fish? Get ready for a unique house tradition to toast your success with a good whisky and a slice of mandarin!
There isn't one.
At Lapland Lodge, you don't even have to leave your doorstep for breakfast. A well-stocked breakfast box filled with fresh local products is delivered to your accommodation every day. For the rest of the day, you decide exactly how much you want to handle yourself. You can have the fridge stocked in advance to cook in the modern kitchen of your villa, or enjoy roasting marshmallows and sausages over the open fire in the traditional Finnish kota on the estate. Want to truly relax? We can arrange a private chef to prepare an extensive multi-course dinner for your party, featuring the freshly caught whitefish or a traditional 'Loimulohi' (flame-smoked salmon) prepared over the open fire.
Lapland Lodge is located in the far north of Finnish Lapland, close to the popular and lively winter sports village of Levi. The accommodations are spread across two locations: the Villas Lumi are close to the ski slopes and the centre of Levi, while the Lapland Lodge Resort lies a bit further along, tucked away in the peaceful wilderness on the shores of Lake Silmäsjärvi. It is the perfect base for those looking to combine pure Lapland nature with active day trips.
The nearest airport is Kittilä (KTT). During the winter months, you can often fly here from Brussels with a short layover in Helsinki. The flight takes about 3.5 to 4 hours. From Kittilä airport, it is only a 15 to 25-minute drive to the various Lapland Lodge properties.
Transfers to and from Kittilä airport are available. Upon arrival, a driver will be waiting to take you directly to your villa or the resort.
A rental car is certainly not a must here, especially since transfers and most activities (including pick-up) can be easily arranged. Would you still like maximum freedom to explore the area on your own or drive to the supermarket in Levi? Then a rental car comes in handy. The roads in Lapland are kept well clear of ice and snow, and rental cars come standard with good studded tyres. Free parking is available at the accommodations.
Lapland Lodge is a truly magical place, whether you choose a sleek villa near the ski slopes or a cozy cabin by the lake. You are literally sleeping among the snow-covered trees and, with a bit of luck, you can watch the northern lights right from your bed. Add the hot tub under the stars and the amazing food, and you've got your dream trip to Lapland sorted.
