The Revery is located in the west of Crete, near Elafonisi, in a place where you will come across very few other hotels. You stay in tented pavilions that feel like a safari, but with the comfort of a five-star hotel. You are surrounded by nature, while inside everything is carefully thought through down to the smallest details. This is not a place where you spend the whole day out and about. You will want to stay here, with a swim, a long lunch and an evening that lingers until it gets dark.
Caractère clients receive a VIP welcome with an aperitif upon arrival.
The hotel is open from early May to late October.
The hotel has 24 suites and tented pavilions.

The hotel was built using stone from the site itself, allowing it to blend naturally into its surroundings. The buildings are spread across an 11-hectare private bay, so it never feels like a large complex. The spa overlooks the sea, with a sauna where you will want to linger as the sun sets. Elafonisi Beach is about a 15-minute drive away, known for its light pink sand and clear water.
The rooms and pavilions are spread across the property, each positioned to ensure privacy and open views over the sea or nature. A comfortable bed, plenty of light, a bathroom with enough space and always an outdoor area to sit. Each suite and villa features a heated private pool. The pavilions come with a hydrotherapy pool, ideal for cooling off without leaving your own space.
Our choice goes to the tented pavilions. You sleep closer to nature here than in a classic room, without giving up comfort. It creates a different feeling you don’t get in a traditional hotel. Thanks to the open layout and location, you are always connected to the outdoors. In the morning, the light comes in gently and wakes you up naturally.
The hotel is set in a secluded bay where you can walk straight into the sea. There is also a natural pool built into the rocks, blending seamlessly into the surroundings. Elafonisi is about a 12-minute drive away, perfect for a day trip.
You are close to spots where the wind is ideal for kitesurfing and windsurfing. The hotel also arranges boat trips along the coast or fishing excursions at sea. Inland, you can walk sections of the E4 trail, pass through gorges like Topolia or explore the landscape by 4x4. Along the way, you will come across villages where life still follows a traditional rhythm and tavernas where the menu has barely changed over the years.
The hotel welcomes adults and children from 12 years old.
At Filema restaurant, you enjoy dishes rooted in the region. Ingredients are sourced locally and prepared simply, with a focus on flavour and season.

The Filema restaurant is open daily. During the day, you dine outside with light dishes, in the evening you sit down for dinner with views of the sea. The wine list mainly features Cretan and Greek wines, carefully selected and well paired with the dishes.
