The buildings of The Rebello have had numerous functions over the years. For instance, they served as a pan factory and wine warehouse. The hotel's renovation took into account the future and the environment. The hotel runs entirely on renewable energy, uses biodegradable products and supports various charities and non-profit organisations.
Rooms range from studios to one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, all of which feature unique designs and fully equipped kitchens. All rooms and suites have an industrial look and feel with unexpected touches in every corner. Luxurious, but not as you know it. Artistic, with clean lines, polished concrete floors, vintage furniture and plenty of industrial details. Everything is designed with the idea that you should be able to feel right at home. And it does, we have tested that for you.
Every room is nice but if we have to choose then please one with a water view.
The hotel is located on the banks of the Douro River so enjoying yourself by the water can be taken quite literally here. After a day in Porto, you can also relax in the heated indoor pool.
Relax in the Roman spa. You will find a lovely indoor pool, a sauna, hot tub and several treatment rooms. Softly glowing lanterns, peach-coloured walls and floating loungers complete your relaxation. Sporty types can hit the gym. A personal trainer is available on request.

Smart casual.
Rebello's Pot&Pan restaurant is named after its past as a manufacturing site of kitchen utensils and cookware and now serves family-style dishes and tapas dishes served in, you guessed it, large pots and pans. The menu features Portuguese diches and seafood comes in almost every course. Be sure to leave a spot for the port wine gelato with the French toast. Bello Rooftop is as beautiful as the name suggests, with stunning views over the Douro towards the Dom Luís I Bridge. Here you'll enjoy artisanal pizzas, tapas-style appetizers and delicious cocktails. On the first floor is the Lobby Bar where you can go for a drink or snack.
The Rebello Hotel & Spa is located right on the Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia, across the street from Porto's old town.
From Porto airport, it is a 30-minute drive to the hotel.
Caractère will be happy to arrange a taxi to take you from the airport to the hotel. The price for this is on request.
In Porto, you don't need a car at all. Just explore the city on foot or take a tram, bus or taxi. If you do come by car, you can park it for a fee in the hotel's secure underground car park. A lift takes you from the garage directly into the lobby. By the way, the hotel also has a fast car charger for electric cars.
A new hotel with an old soul. Here you experience luxury without the white gloves.
