Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

After landing in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. The capital is a colorful mix of ancient temples, lively markets and narrow alleys full of surprises. In the evening you will enjoy a special six-course meal at a local restaurant, a first introduction to Nepalese flavors and hospitality.

Day 2: Discover Kathmandu

You start the day at the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa, better known as the Monkey Temple, with panoramic views of the valley. Then you visit the historic Durbar Square, the old royal palace full of impressive architecture. After a walk through the spice market of Ason, you arrive in Thamel, the beating heart of the city. In the afternoon you visit the gigantic Boudhanath Stupa, a place of pilgrimage where prayer flags fly and monks recite mantras.

Day 3: From Kathmandu to Chitwan

Today you travel to Chitwan National Park, one of the best places in Asia to spot wildlife. After arriving at the lodge you have lunch in a tropical setting. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk through a traditional Tharu village or trek into the jungle. In the evening you will enjoy dinner under the stars.

Day 4: On safari in Chitwan

A day full of adventure in the jungle! You'll head out early with an experienced ranger in search of rhinos, crocodiles and maybe even a Bengal tiger. During the day you will go bird watching, canoeing across the river or on a jeep safari. In the evening, experience a traditional Tharu dance performance, a cultural highlight of Chitwan.

Day 5: Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, travel to Pokhara, a charming town on Lake Phewa with stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range. Upon arrival, walk along the shores of the lake, where the sun slowly disappears behind the mountains.

Day 6: Explore Pokhara

Today you explore the highlights of Pokhara. You'll visit the mysterious Seti Gorge and the impressive Davi's Fall, where water disappears into an underground cave. In a Tibetan refugee camp you will learn more about the local culture. The afternoon ends with a relaxing boat ride on Lake Phewa, where the Himalayas reflect in the water.

Day 7: From Pokhara to Bandipur

You travel to Bandipur, a beautifully preserved Newari village with narrow streets and historic houses. In the afternoon, walk through the village and enjoy the tranquility and views. You will taste traditional tea with a local family and experience village life up close.

Day 8: From Bandipur to Nagarkot

After driving through the hilly countryside, you arrive in Nagarkot, known for its breathtaking views of the Himalayas. At sunset, the snow-capped peaks slowly turn orange-a moment to be stilled.

Day 9: Hiking and culture in Bhaktapur

In the morning, enjoy a spectacular sunrise before taking a scenic walk to the ancient Changunarayan temple. Then visit Bhaktapur, a medieval city full of pagodas, courtyards and traditional crafts. At the pottery square you will see how craftsmen have been making pottery for generations. In the afternoon you return to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Return home or extension

After a final breakfast in Nepal, you will be transferred to the airport. Or extend your trip with a visit to Bhutan, for those who want to travel further in the Himalayas.
