This beautiful building was still a castle 600 years ago, but today the Château de Salettes has been completely renovated and transformed into a fine design hotel. Its majestic walls house 18 spacious rooms with minimalist design and all comforts. The kitchen serves gourmet meals focusing on seasonal products. The hotel is also a wine estate. This means you can taste wines from the estate on a daily basis. This imposing château, built between the 13th and 15th centuries, came into the ownership of the Le Net family, owners of the surrounding vineyards, in 1994. They have completely renovated it into an extraordinary design hotel.
All rooms are spacious and comfortable and decorated in a minimalist design style. They overlook the valley or the garden. They feature tiled or parquet floors, a bathroom with bathtub or shower and sometimes a jacuzzi, bathrobes, slippers, a hairdryer, and a separate toilet. Some rooms have a terrace.
In the Grand Confort rooms, you will enjoy a minimalist design combined with the authenticity of the historic castle. Some rooms are located on the ground floor and have a terrace with panoramic views over the vineyards.
The heated outdoor swimming pool at the foot of the vineyards is open from early May to late September. Sun loungers, shower and towels are provided.
There is petanque and a wine tasting every evening. You can relax in the spa with sauna, jet shower, massages and treatments. Close by there are five golf courses, from around 10 km to around 30 km. You can also go swimming and kayaking on the Tarn around 35 km away and do water sports around 6 km away. Some wonderful excursions are available, like the Toulouse-Lautreco museum and Cathédrale St.-Cécile (Unesco) in Albi, the medieval Cordes, and the metropolis that is Toulouse.
There is an extensive continental breakfast buffet. In the stylish restaurant, you can enjoy refined gourmet meals, focusing on quality and regional seasonal products. The sommelier will be happy to help you choose suitable wines, possibly from the hotel's own wine estate.
The hotel has a very quiet location on a three hectare estate, in an idyllic landscape covered with sunflowers, meadows and vineyards that produce the famous Gaillac wine. Gaillac is at 8 km, Albi at 18 km and the picturesque Cordes-sur-Ciel at 15 km. Montauban is at 50 km, Toulouse at 70 km.
