On this tour, you'll discover the charm of whitewashed villages, enjoy sun-drenched beaches and step into the history of iconic places like Matera and Alberobello. From treasure hunts through ancient towns to unique experiences like making your own cheese and kayaking along the coastline - Puglia is the perfect vacation destination for the whole family.

Day 1: Departure to Puglia

Today you arrive by plane in Puglia. You will stay seven nights in a Caractère hotel of your choice, a four- or five-star hotel whether on the coast or not.

Day 2: Locorotondo

Explore the historic center of Locorotondo known for its whitewashed houses and narrow streets. Take a scavenger hunt around town, where the kids will look for historic buildings, the cutest stores and local artwork. Just outside Locorotondo, there are several farms where you can learn how local products, such as olive oil and cheese, are made. Feed animals or make your own cheese, you can do it all.

Day 3: Alberobello and Quartiere delle Ceramiche

Today you will visit the Trulli area in Alberobello with its unique white houses and cone-shaped roofs. You will learn about the building techniques and history of these extraordinary structures. In the Quartiere delle Ceramiche you will be immersed in ceramic artworks and get to work creating your own handmade artwork.

Day 4: Fasanolandia Zoo Safari

Zoosafari Fasanolandia is on the schedule today. You will drive through the safari park where you can see numerous wild animals up close. Meet the lions, elephants and giraffes in a unique way. End the day in the zoo's amusement park where the kids will have fun with different attractions such as roller coasters, merry-go-rounds and water games.

Day 5: Ostuni & beach day at Torre Guaceto

In the morning you will visit Ostuni, also known as the White City. Here you'll get lost in the narrow streets lined with boutique stores and quaint restaurants. In the afternoon, relax on the beach at the Torre Guaceto nature reserve or at one of our recommended beach clubs.

Day 6: Grotte di Castellana and Polignano a Mare

Your day starts with a visit to the magnificent caves of Castellana, Italy's most famous speleological site. Then you will arrive in Polignano a Mare, an iconic village that has defied the powerful sea for centuries. Adventurers can take a kayaking trip on the sea.

Day 7: Matera

Today you'll briefly cross the border into unspoiled Basilicata. Via Massafra, built on the edges of a ravine that divides the city in two, it's on to fascinating Matera, with its numerous cave dwellings protected by UNESCO. These ancient dwellings, still inhabited by about 2,000 people, and dozens of rock churches are scattered throughout the districts of Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso on either side of the Gravina Gorge.

Day 8: Return home

After a journey full of new insights and stories to share, get ready to catch the plane home.
